In89 Digital Cinemax Taoyuan, Conceptual Design
One of the main objectives of this project is to respect and relate to the original design of the architect which has an open plan with multiple columns. The design turns it into a system of “Forest of Column” each equipped with individual function and lighting. The new cineplex shall be perceived more like an auditorium in typical cultural facilities rather than like a normal commercial cineplex. Permanent and ad-hoc activities are encouraged to happen inside and outside of the cineplex, restaurants and retails, thus blurring the otherwise strict boundaries between different areas.

In89 Digital Cinemax是桃園市的一個概念設計，主要目標之一是尊重並與建築師的原始設計相關聯，採用開放式平面佈局。設計將柱子轉變為一個具備獨立功能和照明的「森林」系統。這個新的電影院應該更像典型的文化設施中的禮堂，而不是普通的商業電影院。它鼓勵在電影院內進行常設和臨時性活動，並在電影院周圍設立餐廳和零售店，使不同區域之間的界限變得模糊。
